Morocco Day Trips

Ouzoud Waterfalls from Marrakech
Leave Marrakech for the red-earth countryside and olive groves of the Middle Atlas foothills before reaching Ouzoud, Morocco’s celebrated three-tiered cascades. Walk between viewpoints, descend toward the river at your own pace, and pause for lunch at a local restaurant with time for an optional boat ride when operating. The return drive is usually in the late afternoon or early evening.

Aït Ben Haddou & Ouarzazate
Cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n’Tichka route to the earthen ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, then continue toward Ouarzazate, the southern gateway shaped by caravan routes, kasbah architecture and film landscapes. Explore the fortified village on foot, pause for a locally chosen lunch, and return to Marrakech after a long but rewarding mountain day.

Ourika Valley & Amazigh Villages
Follow the Ourika Valley south of Marrakech into a greener Atlas landscape of river terraces, small villages and mountain slopes. Meet the valley at a relaxed pace, visit a local market when the weekly schedule allows, and choose between a riverside lunch or a guided walk toward the waterfalls. This is a flexible mountain day rather than a high-altitude trek.

Essaouira Atlantic Escape
Trade Marrakech’s red walls for the Atlantic light of Essaouira. The drive passes through the argan-growing landscape before reaching a walkable port city known for its fortified medina, sea ramparts, fishing harbor, galleries and fresh seafood. Spend the day without a rigid checklist, with time for the harbor, Skala, medina lanes and beach before the return to Marrakech.

More Than a Trip. A Connection With Morocco.
Golden Morocco Tours was built around a simple idea: that the most memorable journeys come from genuine connection, not a checklist of sights. We are based in Morocco, and every itinerary we shape draws on a lifetime of knowing this country's cities, mountains, coastlines, and deserts intimately.
We work closely with local guides, riad owners, desert camps, and artisans who welcome our travelers as guests rather than tourists. The result is a journey that feels personal — paced the way you want, shaped around what genuinely interests you, and grounded in the real character of Morocco.
