Atlas Mountains

Less than an hour from Marrakech, the High Atlas rises into a different Morocco entirely — terraced valleys, mudbrick kasbahs, and villages that have followed the same rhythms of Berber life for generations.

Trails wind through walnut groves and past waterfalls, with Mount Toubkal — North Africa's highest peak — visible on clear days. It is a landscape best explored slowly, on foot, with time to share mint tea with a local family along the way.
